SMM News on May 30:

As of May 30, 2025, the finished product inventories of secondary refined lead smelters stood at 20,860 mt, representing a WoW increase of 600 mt. This week, the center of lead price movement shifted downward again, and the willingness to sell among secondary lead smelters remained low, with most choosing not to sell during the week. Additionally, due to the low purchasing enthusiasm of downstream enterprises, there was an abundance of primary lead available at a discount, making secondary lead sources less competitive by comparison. With the arrival of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, many downstream enterprises halted production and took time off, and the short-term lack of consumption may further contribute to the accumulation of in-plant inventory at secondary lead smelters.
